Arrival/Dismissal Information

Personnel are on duty to supervise students at 8:10 a.m. No students, other than those in Extended Day and Leadership clubs, should arrive prior to 8:10 a.m. Students may not be checked out of school after 2:30 p.m. Please make plans accordingly. Please adhere to the following instructions for arrival and dismissal:

Kindergarten (car riders) 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.  (This allows for a safer dismissal.)
Arrival/Dismissal:  Old San Jose entrance
1st Grade (car riders) 8:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
Arrival/Dismissal:  Old San Jose entrance
2nd-5th Grade  (car riders) 8:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
Arrival/Dismissal:  Hendricks Avenue entrance
Walkers and extended day are dismissed at 3 p.m.

EARLY DISMISSAL Wednesdays (See Calendar for dates. Our calendar is accessible in 15 minute increments only. Please take note that dismissal is actually at 1:50 p.m. for 1st-5th grades.)

Traffic Patterns

The driveways at the front and back of Hendricks are reserved for loading and unloading students by car. Use a single file line and let your child out at the covered walkway. Fire regulations prohibit parking in the auto lane. The auto lane is the only place where parents may drive cars on school grounds to drop off their children. Students may not be picked up at other campus locations. Use the designated parking areas if it is necessary to park or remain on campus. 

Visitors and students who walk or ride bicycles are to use sidewalks, cross only in crosswalks and obey the Safety Patrol and Crossing Guards.
