Art Club, a HAEPTA-sponsored and volunteer-driven after school program, has helped to nurture the expressive minds of students.  This year, in the spirit of PTA’s mission to be “a relevant resource for families and communities,” we hope to make Art Club an even better experience, available to even more students. In the past, Hendricks students eager to participate in Art Club have been put on waiting lists or turned away from sessions because of our limited classes and class sizes. Recently, we have struggled even more to secure long-term volunteers and encountered troublesome logistical issues.  In an effort to evolve, we want bring our students a superior enrichment program with quality instruction by an experienced, certified instructor.  We are excited to bring KidzArt to Hendricks as a new spin on Art Club. 

KidzArt is a drawing-based International art program that builds confidence and emphasizes creative thinking skills. KidzArt goes far beyond other art programs in offering fun, inspiring and educational opportunities for students. As art programming is being cut from school budgets across the country, KidzArt is filling the gap. It was the first educational visual arts program offered internationally and is one of North America's leaders in Arts and Education.

Returning this year! The enjoyment and enthusiasm that artistic expression brings to the eyes, ears and minds of Hendricks students is unmistakable. Now in its third year, the annual all-school Art Club competition will be held this coming spring and will culminate in a gallery showing at Family Music & Arts Night on Thursday, March 29.
